There just outside where they are practicing hard for Sunday's match against Aussies, wedding bells can be heard for every session, its a busy day at the cathedral at the brink of the park brimming with marry making, giggles, flowers, wedding vows, happy beginnings or endings.. its V day, and its beyond me, beats me, I mean if you are in love, you can make any day a special one, if you are not, this day V day, that day, new years, yesterday, Tuesday, Friday, a day on Mercury or Jupiter, an earthling's day or that of an alien or any day for that matter is not
for you. Your sole hope lies in tomorrow, and you don't foster much hope in me as to what kind of human being you are. I feel especially for those singles who get all worked up around this day. Don't make a joke of yourself. Oh I'm so happy for these newly weds, did I mention?
Back in Delhi, these people, these self proclaimed flag bearers of Hinduism, they are allegedly getting any couple spotted celebrating V Day, married. Bajrang Dal or some such name they go by, well I would surely like to read the preamble of this organization or whatever it is as Lord Hanuman was a Bal Brahamchari, and these people are keener on playing wedding planners!
Cost cutting ?
I can only imagine if they were in Mathura in those days, they would have gotten Lord Krishna married to all Gopies, Radha and who not. The notion of unconditional unnamed love and devotion is too much for them I figured some jobs ought to be reserved for such people, jobs that don't have high cerebral demands where they could make a living, and not do what they are doing in all likelihood trying to eke out an existence.
This probably is the only instance I would have spoken in favor of reservation of any description, but I think it will be in the country's best interest as well those of these people if they are put where they belong and not let the wiseacres of subsistence politics use them to make a mockery of all the wise and wisdom this religion's history is replete with.
On a more serious note, I personally don't like the word religion as its seen in a different light today, has a darker connotation to it, has been appropriated by such people. I think Hinduism is a philosophy, of living, a way of life. I try and live by it.

@Amit
Upset?? Me? How was your V day. Did ya get some?? Man this sure would be appalling to female readers of this blog... but did ya?
@SheTell
God pipped me to the post here. Sure I would make a caricature of you if God didn't make enough of that of you. But seriously I would want to do a caricature of you.
And yes, I'm deliriously single, what else would I take a leave out of your book for and make a song of my miseries on V day.
A)it IS VERY UNLIKELY THAT U WOULD HAVE BEEN MISERABLE ON VALENTINES DAY..
B)WHATS WITH THE "LETS ATTACK GIRL WHO WANT ME TO LIKE MORE LIKE HER" FAD?
C)ALL THAT I KNOW ABOUT YOU IS YOUR E-PRESENCE... DIDN'T AND WOULDNT EXPECT ANYTHING NON MECHANICAL RATHER IN HUMAN OUTTA U... CONSIDERING I DONT EVEN KNOW UR NAME...
D) HMMM WHT THE HELL ... I M SURE U WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A CARICATURE OF A CARICATURE... SEE IF URS IS BETTER THAN GOD'S...
A) U said that... oh...sorry... cAPS ON .. YA... U SAID THAT WITH A LOT OF CONVICTION. GOD BLESS YA.
B) 'ATTACK??' PLEASE, DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT, A FEW LAPSES IN MY COMMENT, A FEW SMILIES MISSING I CAN SEE, BUT 'ATTACK'... TAKE THAT BACK... YOU WOULD DO GOOD TO DESIST FROM READING BETWEEN THE LINES.
C) ANONYMITY NOTWITHSTANDING EXPECT NON MECHANICAL THINGS, (I did like your conviction in 'A)' though, U almost made me believe) I AINT NO MECHA, I'M PRETTY MUCH ORGA.. PP...PP...TRR..Undefined Error...PP..TRR.....KABOOOM!
D) A CARICATURE DOING A CARICATURE OF A CARICATURE. "LETS SEE IF URS IS BETTER THAN GOD'S", ARE WE OPTIMISTS OR WHAT.
@Anonym
Yup!
:)
i m sorry if i sounded defensive...
just snappy these days...
soweeee
:)
if we ever meet in some other universe, i promise to take u for a coffee to make up for it... considering that u r so "DELIRIOUSLY" single...
lol
Coffee sounds good as long as you are not making it too ;) I cant help, can I. Around V Day, this is my defense, I piss people off with my lame sense of humor. Works like a charm, and they stay at arms length. I'm all worked up, cant seem to get it out of my system just as yet. But lets not worry I'm working on it, who would be making the coffee though I must know beforehand and it aint no joke.
Religion have been misinterpreted, but if you read the books you won't see that way. "I think Hinduism is a philosophy, of living, a way of life. I try and live by it." That is a great way to live a life by. Cheers.
are you saying you have no love interest bhaanu. you got to be kidding me!!
@Cgull
I couldn't agree more. Thanks for dropping by :)
@Pat
U got me there, how could I not? V Day makes the physical presence of her all the more important and consequently the absence that much more painful. V Day is a painful reminder of this void, and no matter how much I feign indifference it gets to me.
well have hope bhaanu there is a beauty waiting just for you!!!
Pat, you've seen more life than me, I wanna see what you are seeing for me. I myself wish I knew if certain things could be replaced. I cant imagine yet. Thanks for giving me hope though, this one comment has won you worthless but a friend for life.
