Important: This method will help you add social bookmarking option like the ones you see on this blog's post footers. If you would instead add social bookmarking options that look as shown in the figure below, click here.
This is how you do it
Go to AddThis.com's social bookmarking widget button selection page and make sure you've selected on a Blog and Blogger in the lists following the button list and the page looks like this.
Click Get Your Free Button >> button.
On the page that appears, click the code in the first code box (as shown in the figure below) and copy it ( Ctrl+C ) .
Now go to blogger.com
1. Log on to your blogger account
2. Select Layout from Dasboard
3. Select Edit HTML
4. As a precautionary measure download your template clicking Download Full Template and save it on your computer.
5. Make sure Expand Widgets Templates is checked
6. Now search for <div class='post-footer'>
*You can easily do this using the Find (Ctrl+F) bar if you are using Firefox as shown in the figure.
7. Right after <div class='post-footer'> paste the code that you copied earlier from AddThis.com, as shown in the figure below.
8. Save the template by clicking SAVE TEMPLATE button.
You should now be seeing book marking options on your blog like the ones you see on this blog's post footers :)
